Plagiarism Policy

KHAINA: JOURNAL OF TEACHING AND LEARNING maintains a zero-tolerance policy against plagiarism and intellectual dishonesty to preserve academic quality and ethical publishing standards.

Screening & Similarity Threshold

All submitted manuscripts are rigorously screened using advanced plagiarism detection software (such as Turnitin or iThenticate) prior to entering the peer-review process. The maximum acceptable overall similarity index is 20% (or 15% for strict technical formatting guidelines).

Forms of Misconduct Monitored
  • Direct Copying: Reproducing text verbatim without quotation marks and proper citation.
  • Self-Plagiarism / Text Recycling: Reusing significant portions of the author's own previously published work without reference.
  • Improper Paraphrasing: Modifying words or sentence structures while retaining another author's core idea without credit.
  • Data Fabrication & Falsification: Manipulating or manufacturing research data, tables, or findings.
Sanctions for Misconduct

If severe plagiarism or unethical practices are detected at any stage of the editorial process, the journal reserves the right to enforce the following sanctions:

  • Immediate desk rejection of the manuscript.
  • Formal retraction notice published for already published articles.
  • Permanent blacklisting of the author(s) from future submissions.
  • Official notification sent to the author's affiliated institution or funding agency.
COPE Compliance

KHAINA: JOURNAL OF TEACHING AND LEARNING follows the guidelines and flowcharts provided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) when responding to allegations of plagiarism or research misconduct.
