Triannual publishing schedule, submission timelines, and digital archiving policies.
INDONESIAN STUDIES is published three times a year (triannual), with issues released in May and October. The journal accepts manuscript submissions on a continuous basis throughout the year; however, acceptance does not guarantee publication in the immediately upcoming issue, as scheduling depends on peer review timelines, revisions, and available slots.

Deadline: No later than 20 April

Recommended Submission Timeline
- For May Issue: Authors are advised to submit no later than March/April to allow sufficient time for peer review, revision, and production.
- For October Issue: Authors are advised to submit no later than August/September of the preceding year.
Continuous Submission Policy
Manuscripts may be submitted at any time throughout the year on a first-come, first-served basis:
- Processing is subject to slot availability in each issue.
- If an issue is full, accepted manuscripts may be scheduled for the next available issue.
- Authors are encouraged to submit early to avoid publishing delays.
Online Access and Archiving
- Open Access Platform: Published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
- DOI Registration: Assigned a unique Digital Object Identifier through Crossref.
- Indexing Services: Submitted to major databases including Google Scholar, GARUDA, Crossref, WorldCat, and OneSearch.
- Permanent Archiving: Maintained long-term on the journal's website for worldwide accessibility.
